About Angel
Angel is dedicated to helping individuals from diverse backgrounds overcome challenges and achieve their mental health goals. His therapy approach is collaborative, empathetic, and non-judgmental. He strives to create a safe space where clients can freely explore their thoughts and emotions without fear of criticism or misunderstanding. His focus is on building a strong therapeutic relationship to help clients identify patterns and behaviors that may be holding them back, and work together to develop effective strategies to move forward. Angel believes in the importance of building a positive support system and is passionate about helping his clients create meaningful connections.
Angel holds a master’s degree in clinical social work from Florida State University and is a licensed clinical social worker with over 10 years of experience in the field. He has worked with clients dealing with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship problems, and life transitions. Angel has received training in evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based interventions. Additionally, he is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
In his free time, Angel likes to stay active by playing kickball, soccer, and pickleball. He also enjoys exploring new restaurants with his wife and friends.
