About Joy

Joy is dedicated to supporting individuals navigating life’s transitions and self-exploration, particularly focusing on teens, young adults, and adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, or relationship issues. She is committed to fostering a safe and inclusive environment, utilizing a trauma-informed approach to help clients discover their authentic selves.

Joy integrates a variety of therapeutic theories including Psychodynamic, Person-Centered, Family Systems, and Mindfulness-based approaches. This eclectic blend enables her clients to gain insights into how their past experiences influence their present circumstances, empowering them to make meaningful choices aligned with their desired future.

She holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College, where she also earned a Family and Relationship Therapy certificate. Joy graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Spanish Language and Culture studies from the same institution. As a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern, Joy actively pursues continuous professional development, with a focus on certifications in EMDR and Emotion Focused Couples Therapy.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Joy values quality time with loved ones. She finds fulfillment in mindfulness practices like yoga, enjoys exploring new places through travel, and nurtures her creativity by expressing herself through fashion.
