About Dana
Dana is passionate about helping individuals better understand themselves, their experiences, and their future direction in life. She works from a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive lens, creating a safe space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported. Dana uses a strengths-based approach to guide individuals in making decisions that are in alignment with their personal values and long-term hopes for themselves. Dana believes that understanding the full picture — including impacts from your past, your environment, and the many parts of you that have formed along the way, will be key to creating lasting and desirable change.
Dana earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College. She also completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Services at the University of Central Florida, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Her academic and clinical training have equipped her to work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, identity exploration, life transitions and trauma.
Her practice is considered an eclectic mix of therapeutic approaches, including narrative therapy, psychodynamic work, and family systems while also utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), somatic and mindfulness-based practices. Dana recognizes the importance of flexibility to meet each person’s unique needs and is committed to navigating the healing journey with each individual person she meets.
Outside of the therapy space, Dana enjoys going on nature walks, playing golf and tennis (not the greatest, but the intent that counts), binging a good show, and spending time with those she cherishes most.
