  • Maya Pitre, MSW, RCSWI

Location: Winter Park Office and Online

Maya creates a space in which her clients feel welcomed, safe, and affirmed exactly as they are. She is particularly drawn to work with folks navigating the difficulties of anxiety, trauma, identity, and family-related challenges. Maya believes that the formation of a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship is an imperative part of healing through which clients can develop the ability to understand and express their own desires and emotions. She utilizes holistic and evidence-based approaches to enable her clients to find acceptance of themselves while gaining skills with which to navigate future challenges.

Maya received her Master of Social Work from the University of Central Florida. Her approach is integrative and includes techniques from cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based, trauma-informed, and ACT (acceptance and commitment) therapies.

Outside of work, Maya is an avid proponent of integrative self-care through mind and body and enjoys meditation, drawing, and strength training at the gym. She is a devoted pet parent to her two cats Mowgli and Gus, and finds her greatest peace in spending quality time with them and her partner.
