  • Lourdes Llopiz, MA, RMHCI

Location: Winter Park Office and Online

Lourdes is dedicated to supporting people in carrying the “bag” of experiences they have accumulated throughout their lives. Whether the “bag” consists of anxiety, depression, trauma, or any other heavy burden, Lourdes utilizes an integrative approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-based interventions, and plain old humor to meet each person’s unique needs. Lourdes is ready to sit with you in a safe and non-judgmental space as you unpack your bag together and examine what to leave behind and what to take with you. She believes that by lessening these burdens, people can discover their authentic selves. She is committed to supporting adults, young adults, and teenagers on their healing journey toward living a life free of burdens and expectations.

Born in Miami, Florida, to immigrant parents from Cuba and Venezuela, Lourdes is bilingual and uses a multicultural approach to honor the cultural identities of her clients. As a first-generation American, she brings a personal understanding of the challenges related to acculturation and the pressures faced by first-generation individuals in the United States.

Lourdes graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a specialization in Behavioral Forensics. She chose to pursue her aspirations in the mental health field and graduated from Rollins College with a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling.

During her free time, Lourdes finds joy in spending quality time with her family and friends, whether by traveling or just being in the same space. To relax, she likes to curl up on her couch with her latest book.
