About Alexis
Alexis is deeply passionate about helping individuals and couples move from feeling stuck to finding genuine connection and lasting peace.
She specializes in couples therapy and has advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), a highly effective, evidence-based approach. In her work with partners, Alexis focuses on identifying and shifting negative patterns, creating secure attachment, and guiding couples through healing from challenges like chronic conflict and betrayal to deepen their intimacy and overall relationship satisfaction.
Alexis brings a profoundly trauma-informed perspective to all her work, which extends to individual counseling. She is highly focused on helping adults process and heal from developmental childhood trauma and attachment injuries. Utilizing her expertise, including specialized training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), she creates a supportive space for clients to integrate past experiences and develop a stronger, more resilient self.
Her therapeutic approach is integrated and personalized, built upon a strong foundation of attachment theory, mindfulness, and person-centered therapy principles. She incorporates behavioral tools from modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to ensure every client has the comprehensive support they need to achieve peace and meet their goals.
Outside of her clinical and supervisory roles, Alexis is committed to organizational development, researching best business practices, and fostering a supportive and healthy work environment for the team. She also enjoys staying active, cherishing time with her family, and nurturing her extensive collection of indoor plants.
