About Genelle
Meet Genelle, a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern who brings a warm, grounded, and exploratory presence into the therapy room. Growing up as a Navy brat and later serving in the U.S. Navy herself, Genelle carries a unique, full-circle understanding of military life, resilience, and transitions, which deeply informs her compassionate care. Her clinical background spans substance use and co-occurring disorders, trauma, and significant life transitions, with past work supporting military-affiliated individuals, trafficking survivors, and youth and families impacted by foster care and adoption.
Genelle's clinical practice is rooted in a strengths-based, client-centered, and trauma-informed foundation that honors the whole person. Drawing on her diverse educational background—including a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, an Associate of Science in Physical Therapy, and a Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Graduate Certificate in Military Social Work—she weaves together mind-body healing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, attachment-based approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT).
She thoughtfully tailors her modalities to each client’s unique history and personal goals rather than letting a single diagnosis define their story. Whether clients are navigating complex life transitions or seeking a safe, empowering space to reconnect with themselves, Genelle meets every individual with genuine curiosity, warmth, and deep respect.
Outside of the office, Genelle can usually be found planning her next outdoor hike, maintaining a pilates streak, or hunting down Jacksonville’s best-kept food spots with friends. She is also a devoted fan of cozy video games and a proud dog mom to Stevie the Australian Shepherd and Luna the Wheaten Terrier, her two very good, very opinionated pups.
