About Elizabeth

Elizabeth is dedicated to helping teens, young adults, and adults navigate life’s challenges and transitions. She enjoys walking alongside clients as they explore their identity and concerns, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship dynamics. Elizabeth values offering a safe space for clients to gain empowerment and connection with their most authentic selves.

Elizabeth earned her Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Rollins College and her Bachelor’s degrees in psychology and journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Drawing on previous experiences working with college students and survivors of domestic violence, Elizabeth is especially passionate about helping students navigate the unique stressors of college life and helping survivors carve their paths toward healing and rediscovery of themselves.

Elizabeth understands each client is unique and may benefit from an equally unique blend of counseling theories and techniques. She is EMDR-trained and trauma-informed in her approach. She also utilizes a person-centered approach and pulls from cognitive-behavioral, parts work, and psychodynamic therapies.

Outside of the therapy room, Elizabeth is a reader who enjoys a variety of genres and has an ever-growing TBR list. When she’s not visiting other worlds in books, she values spending quality time with her friends, family, and pitbull boxer mix, Phoebe (who, yes, is named after Phoebe Buffay).
