About Destiny
Meet Destiny, a compassionate and dedicated counselor committed to supporting individuals as they navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, and the everyday challenges of life. With warmth, empathy, and a deep respect for each person’s unique journey, Destiny creates a space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and supported.
At the heart of Destiny’s work is a belief in the power of connection, belonging, and authenticity. She strives to help clients reconnect with themselves and foster meaningful, lasting change that aligns with who they are. Her therapeutic approach is relational and grounded in the understanding that healing begins in safe, accepting relationships. Destiny offers a collaborative, non-judgmental space where authenticity is welcomed and where there’s always room for laughter. She gently challenges her clients to grow while honoring their lived experiences and the diverse identities that shape their worldview.
Destiny holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Jacksonville University and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice. Her clinical lens is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, systemic, and attachment-focused. She integrates elements of Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to tailor treatment to each client’s needs. Her experience spans work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, childhood and religious trauma, social anxiety, stress, and major life transitions.
Outside the therapy room, you can find Destiny spending time with her English Cocker Spaniel, Luna, listening to Taylor Swift, working out, scrolling TikTok, or enjoying quality time with friends and family.
