About Destiny
Hi there, I’m Destiny. I’m so glad you’re here. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns you can't quite explain, or burdened by the pressure to “keep it all together,” please know you don’t have to face it alone. Whether you're navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, shame, identity exploration, or simply the stress of being human, I’m here to walk alongside you with empathy and compassion.
My approach is warm, relational, and grounded in the belief that healing begins when we feel seen, accepted, and understood. I aim to get to know the whole of you: your story, your strengths, and your struggles. I offer a collaborative and non-judgmental space where laughter is welcome and nothing about you is “too much.” In our work together, I’ll gently challenge you to grow while honoring your lived experience. I intentionally hold space for the complexities of your intersecting identities and how they shape the way you move through the world.
I deeply value connection, belonging, and authenticity. My goal is to help you reconnect with yourself and create meaningful change that feels aligned with who you are. I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the most powerful tools for healing. If you’re looking for a therapist who will show up as their authentic self, meet you with warmth & acceptance, and walk with you on your path toward growth and healing, we may be a good fit.
I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Jacksonville University, as well as dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice. My clinical lens is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, systemic, and attachment-focused. I integrate approaches from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I've worked with children, adolescents, and adults facing a range of challenges including childhood trauma, religious trauma, PTSD, C-PTSD, depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, social anxiety, stress, and major life transitions.
Outside the therapy room, you can find me spending time with my dog Luna (an English Cocker Spaniel), listening to Taylor Swift, working out, watching TikToks, or hanging out with friends and family.
